The Poetry Society of Cheltenham exists to promote the the appreciation and writing of poetry, and is open to anyone within reach of Cheltenham.
Meetings are held at Parmoor House, Lypiatt Terrace, Cheltenham. There are normally two meetings a month, both starting at 7.00 pm.
The Reading Group meets on the third Thursday of each month. On these evenings there is discussion of poems by the good and the great and the contemporary, there is an annual lecture, workshops, and an annual party.
The Writing Group meets on the last Tuesday of the month. On these evenings members bring poems they have written themselves, and these are discussed in some detail by other members of the group. Membership of this group is by invitation.
